Day 9

You know you can only be strong for a limited amount of time?

It's hard when you see your high school friends have purchased houses, have kids & pets, with college loan have already paid off while you're still struggling to get your future all set up.

I could rant for so many pages... alas I'm too tired to think of what I am not thankful of...

keep movin'

day 8

The snow looks very pretty this morning!

I went to have brunch with a friend who lives about 20 mins away from my place. I drove about 20 mph for about a mile. Nothing bad was happening, the traffic was slow due to the slippery road.

Today I finally took down the Christmas ornaments. Now my apartment looks kinda empty. I guess it's time to hunt for some home decorations for the apartment. It's looking more and more homy, I am pretty excited.

Not much to tell about today. I took some pictures of my 'little monsters' with Snoopy. Thank goodness for Snoopy, the monsters were actually paying attention to what I had to say.

My goal this evening: get in the bed by 11. We shall see.

day 7

Arrrh, what a long day - not really.

I got a phone call from the school district to sub for a lady. She lives in different city and since it was snowing like mad she decided to stay home. Lucky me I live 3 blocks away from the school.

Actually, I do enjoy subbing. I get to do different things whenever I work. Today I got to help kids with memorizing the states & the capitals, English and social studies.

I lost one of my earrings during supper at SnS. I didn't know until I was about to take them off at home. What a bummer! The earrings were a gift from a friend. They're only fashion earrings, but grrrrrrr now what do I do with 1 earring without the pair?

Well, I am off to bed. Tomorrow should be a good day =)

day 5

It may be cold outside, but it sure was warm in our living room during the day.

Hubby always says that it gets pretty bright, but I say we don't need to turn on the heater for a couple of hours.

The blanket only took 1 year to make. I don't remember how many times I cracked my fingers b/c they felt numb after crocheting for a while.

Hubby and I went to see his mama for supper. I made chicken wings for dinner and we brought along our favorite wings' sauces: Spicy Garlic & Asian Zing (thanks to Buffalo Wild Wings).

Hubby introduced the place to me when we were dating and I am glad that he did. He has been a fan of the Spicy Garlic sauce while I have my top 3 sauces: asian zing, mango habanero & carribean jerk.

leafy green, jasmine rice & homestyle chicken fingers

our favorite ice cream for desert. It has dark chocolate chips & some black raspberry flavor. yum!

day 4 - no photo

I picked up Connor & Hailey from school today. FYI, they're not my kids.

Afterwards I went to Kroger and spent about $64 for groceries. It may not be a lot for some people, but it's quite a bit for me. Well, I think we'll be fine with food wise for the week.

Who likes to wash dishes? I do it when I have to. The best thing about cooking in a big batch is I can keep my kitchen clean.

In my home we have this simple rule: whoever cooks doesn't need to do the clean up, whoever does the laundry (this including separating whites & colors, cold & warm wash & lastly -- fold the clothes) doesn't need to put them away.

However, this rule doesn't always work. So far I've been doing all of that without hubby's help. This will change when school starts ;-)

Since I bought quite a bit of stuff from Kroger, I think I'll do a review on each item.

It is still minus something degrees celcius out there, so stay warm. I can't wait till we move out from IL. The year of 2015 can't come soon enough =l

Day 3

I will definitely make sure to post at least 1 picture for every entry.

Today's favorite activities:

1. A Sunday afternoon nap with hubby.

2. Eating too many servings of banana bread & bacon (not at the same time) w/ hubby.

3. Having a bowl of spicy fried rice for supper.

Stay warm & blessings,

G.K
